1. Introduction

1.1 You will be able to access all areas of this Website without registering your details.

1.2 We may revise these Terms and Conditions at any time by updating this posting. You should check our Website from time to time to review the current Terms and Conditions, because they are binding on you. Certain provisions of these terms and conditions may be superseded by expressly designated legal notices or terms located on particular pages of this Website. If you do not wish to accept any new terms and conditions after we have given notice, you should not continue to use this Website.

2. Ordering from us

2.1 You are deemed to place an order with us by ordering via our online checkout process. As part of our checkout process you will be given the opportunity to check your order and to correct any errors. We will send you an order acknowledgement, detailing the products you have ordered.

2.2 Our acceptance of an order takes place when we despatch the order. We will send you a despatch confirmation by email. When we despatch the order the purchase contract will be made even if your payment has been processed immediately, unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled your order.

2.3 We may refuse to accept an order:
(a) where goods are not available;
(b) where we cannot obtain authorisation for your payment;
(c) if there has been a pricing or product description error; or (d) if you do not meet any eligibility criteria set out in our terms and conditions.

3. Pricing, Delivery and Guarantees

3.1 All transactions are shown in pounds sterling (£) and where appropriate are exclusive of UK sales tax (VAT) at the current rate. VAT will be applied during the checkout process.

3.2 Our delivery charges include all packaging and courier charges.

3.3 Our prices are reviewed periodically.

3.4 Payment is to be made via PayPal on the website.

3.5 You will be notified of the delivery costs automatically before you submit your order. For international deliveries, please contact us prior to placing your order as there may be occasions where we may need an additional amount to cover the postage charges. If an additional charge is required, you would be contacted by our customer service team.

3.6 Our aim is to deliver all goods on a standard delivery service within 2-3 working days and all other addresses, except international destinations within 10 working days of confirming the order (unless otherwise stated in 3.7). However, sometimes delays do occur as we use a third party courier. If you do not receive your order within the time frame specified, please contact us either by telephone or email and we will endevour to ensure you do receive your order. If there is a problem with a delivery we will need time to communicate with our third party couriers.

3.7 If your entire order cannot be fulfilled from stock in one consignment, you will be notified within one working day of items which are on back order with an approximate follow on time scale. Part orders will not be dispatch on a standard shipping rate but can be accommodated at an additional charge.

We do everything possible to ensure your goods are delivered on time, however, we cannot be held liable for any late deliveries, as we are using a third party courier.

3.8 5 YEAR EDGE CHIP GUARANTEE applies to flat items only such as plates, and does not include bowls, cups, mugs, creamers, teapots, jugs, salt and pepper sets or serving dishes.

4. Cancellation and Returns Policy

4.1 If you wish to cancel your order:
(a) you can notify us by email to sales@thewelllaidtable.com before we have dispatched the goods to you; or
(b) where goods have already been dispatched to you, we may consider a refund in accordance with clause 4.2 below.

4.2 You can return goods you have ordered from us if the items are in any way faulty at any time within 2 days from point of delivery for a full refund or exchange. The costs of returning goods to us shall be borne by you. All defects must be notified within 24 hrs of receipt.

4.3 Upon receipt of the returned goods we will give you a full refund of the amount paid or an exchange or credit as required.

4.4 The rights to return the goods to us as referred to in clause 4.3 will not apply in the following circumstances: –
* In the event that the product has been used and/or it is not returned in its original undamaged packaging. The provisions of this clause 4.4 do not affect your statutory rights.

6.2 We do not collect, retain or transfer your payment details as we use the secure payment service of PayPal. Please refer to PayPal’s privacy and security policy.

6.3 We use a number of different Cookies on our site to help us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs.
